Las Vegas – Sprint will join its largest rivals in offering Windows Phone 8 smartphones, launching one HTC model and one Samsung model in the summer, the carrier announced at International CES.
The phones will feature 4G LTE and will be available for use with the carrier’s unlimited-data plans.
Both Windows phones will feature dual cameras,dual-core processors, and expandable memory. Additional details were not released.
In a separate announcement, Verizon said it will soon offer 4G LTE versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and Samsung’s ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone 8 smartphone, making the ATIV Odyssey the third Widows Phone 8 phone available on Verizon’s network.
The Note 10.1 with S Pen stylus and Android 4.1 JellyBean OS is on display at Verizon’s booth and will be available on Verizon’s LTE network in the coming weeks at an unannounced price.
