SpeakerCraft Wins Supplier Loyalty Award

LAS VEGAS — SpeakerCraft, a manufacturer of in-wall speakers, held an appreciation dinner for its dealers at the Hard Rock Hotel, here, where Inside Track presented it with its Supplier Loyalty Award.

This is the ninth year in a row that SpeakerCraft has won the Overall Winner’s trophy in the Custom Installation Group. Overall winners are determined on the basis of each company’s performance on a total of 12 parameters and SpeakerCraft finished first in nine areas, which include product reliability, profitability, ease of doing business, just-in-time delivery, among others.

Giselle Schoell, editor/publisher of Inside Track, said in a prepared statement, ‘No company can win this award unless they are serious about seeking success through the partnership with dealers. For nine years running SpeakerCraft has not only talked the talk, but walked the walk of partnership. For that, I applaud them.’

During CES, SpeakerCraft is showing existing as well as new products. Among the new offerings are two digital amplifiers that offer 100 watts of power per channel. The DBB 12100, a 12-channel power amp (1,200 watts total), and the DBB16100, a 16-channel amp (1,600 watts total), are set for first quarter shipments.

Both units are packaged in a slim design and are nearly half the height of conventional power amps with the same rating, the company said. They are much lighter and run much cooler than traditional amplifiers, with the end result being that they are easier to handle and can be installed in smaller and tighter locations, the firm said.

The DBB 12100 is expected to retail for $2,299, while the DBB 16100 is expected to retail for $2,999.
