San Diego — Sony issued a notice to its customers today that select models of its DSC-T20 camera can suffer from a mechanical failure in the lens.
According to Sony, the issue affects only pink and silver versions of the camera.
Sony said fewer than 100 cameras — or 0.37 percent of those sold — have experienced a problem and have been repaired at no cost under the current warranty.
Sony will offer free repairs until July 9, 2011, for T20 owners experiencing the issue.
