SMK-Link Launching ‘1st’ Projector URC

Camarillo, Calif. — SMK-Link Electronics has launched what it is calling the industry’s first universal remote controls for projectors.

The 24-button IR remote supports “all popular projector makes and models,” the company said. Supported manufacturers include 3M, BenQ, Boxlight, Canon, Casio, Christie, Dell, Dukane, Eiki, Epson, Hitachi, HP, InFocus, JVC, Mitsubishi, NEC, Optoma, Panasonic, Phillips, Pioneer, Polaroid, Polyvision, Samsung, Sanyo, Sharp, Smart, Sony, Toshiba, Vidikron and Viewsonic, among others.

The remote can reportedly learn from existing remote controls, and can control such functions as aspect ratio and keystone adjustment.

Suggested retail is $29.99. The company said customization options and quantity discounts are available for resellers and OEMs when ordering in bulk.
