Sling To Offer Children’s Shows From HIT

Foster City, Calif., — EchoStar’s Sling Media unit said Monday it will begin offering visitors to Sling.com free access to popular streaming children’s television programs through a deal reached with children’s video entertainment provider HIT Entertainment.

Sling Media said that in coming weeks such shows as “Thomas The Tank Engine,” “Barney,” “Bob The Builder,” and others, will be featured on its Web site.

Sling Media will create a custom HIT Entertainment-branded channel within Sling.com, to give Sling users direct access to the HIT-controlled TV shows.

Sling.com is an ad-supported online video portal that gives users free access to a library of diverse content from television networks, movie studios, sports leagues and top Web sites. A full list of channels available on Sling.com can be found at http://www.sling.com/network/list.
