Luxemburg — Skype introduced a new version of its software for Windows users today.
Version 3.2 includes several new personalization features, including the ability to add images to profiles through a video snapshot tool. According to Skype, one-fifth of calls on its network are video calls.
Skype also added a new user interface, echo cancellation and background-noise-reduction technologies alongside the ability to import address books from MSN Hotmail, GMail and Yahoo! Mail.
Also included in the new release is the Send Money feature which allows Skype users to send money to other Skype contacts through PayPal. Both Skype and PayPal are owned by eBay.
