Sim2 Reveals 4K DLP Projector

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Sim2 USA announced at CEDIA Expo Thursday that it will add its first 4K video projector, joining Sharp and JVC, which christened the category at last year’s show.

Sim2 Multimedia’s Cinemaquattro 4K DLP three-chip home cinema projector uses technology by Christie, a developer of professional digital display systems.

The projector is said to produce 4,096 by 2,160 pixels (of 4K resolution) from a 1.38-inch DLP chipset, up to 20,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, triple flash 3D technology, Sim2 exclusive high-contrast and colorimetry profiles, a user-replaceable Xenon Bubble Lamp and remote monitoring.

The Cinemaquattro 4K three-chip projector is being offered to select Sim2 dealers for home cinema installations and will be available in Q4 2012.

It will be one of two new high-brightness products from the company.
