Sharp Taps Troetti As CE Group Executive VP

Mahwah, N.J. — Michael Troetti, a long-time Matsushita Electric veteran, has been named Sharp Electronics’ consumer electronics group executive VP, the company announced.

Troetti, who will report to Sharp Electronics Marketing Co. of America’s president Noboru Fujimoto, will be responsible for U.S. sales and marketing, handling home entertainment and appliance products.

Formerly, Troetti most recently served as president of Panasonic’s appliance and commercial group, directing sales and marketing for consumer appliance, personal care and commercial products categories. He originally joined Matsushita in 1982 as a group sales manager for the Panasonic group, and later ascended to Matsushita’s enterprise sales group president.

In a prepared statement, Sharp said Troetti brings extensive experience in national account management, having held senior management positions with responsibility for the sales and marketing of appliances, audio, display and video products.

Reporting to Troetti are Bob Scaglione, consumer electronics marketing group senior VP; Steve McNally, who was recently promoted to display, audio and video products sales senior VP; and Michael Williamson, appliance sales VP.
