said Tuesday that it is now shipping its Aquos Quattron 7-series TVs to retail,
with 8-series models to follow in later in the month.

The new 7-series TV models include 60- and 70-inch screen sizes.
Models LC-60LE745U and LC-70LE745U will carry suggested retails of $2,300 and
$3,300, respectively.

 Both models feature new
ultra-slim bezels with black brushed-aluminum cabinet designs.  They offer FullHD 1080p resolution, active-shutter
3D viewing, 120Hz refresh rates, built-in Wi-Fi with SmartCentral and four HDMI
inputs.

Sharp Aquos Quattron 8-series 3D LED TVs will start shipping at
the end of March and will hit shelves in April.

This series includes models with 60-, 70- and 80-inch screen
sizes.

Models LC-60LE847U, LC-70LE847U and LC-80LE844U will carry
suggested retails of $2,700, $3,800 and $6,000, respectively.

The series offers even sleeker cabinet designs with a black
brushed-aluminum finish, built-in Wi-Fi with SmartCentral, FullHD 1080p
resolution, active-shutter 3D, and Quattron Quad Pixel Plus 2 technology for
improved yellow and green reproduction.

The FullHD 1080p LC-80LE844U features full array LED backlighting
and an AquoMotion 480 refresh rate to reduce motion blurring.

The 60- and 70-inch models offer edge-lit LEDs with a newly
developed 240Hz LCD panel.
