Shapiro, the Consumer Electronics Association’s president and CEO, issued the
following statement on the retirement of Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) Commissioner Michael Copps:
“We thank Commissioner
Copps for his decade of service to the FCC and to the public interest.
Commissioner Copps is a passionate advocate for the role technology can play in
all of our lives. We have appreciated the opportunity to work with him over the
years and wish him well as he retires from the commission.”
