Montreal – 3D glasses maker
launched Thursday a 3D Video-on-Demand (VoD) store called 3DGO!, offering 3DTV
owners the opportunity to stream 3D content on their living room big screens.
3DGO! will include a user friendly access to high-quality 3D
titles in the Sensio’s “Hi-Fi 3D” format.
The service will go online in this spring with a wide variety of
dedicated 3D content, ranging from blockbuster studio titles to documentaries.
To view 3DGO! users will need to install an app on a connected
3DTV set, allowing them to access to a
3D library, which Sensio said it will continue to develop.
No subscription fee or additional equipment are required, Sensio
said.
“We committed ourselves to bringing added value to our Sensio
Hi-Fi 3D clients and to keeping them one step ahead,” said Nicholas Routhier, Sensio
president and CEO. “We know customers want more 3D content and easy/convenient
access to it. This is exactly why we are launching 3DGO!.”
Sensio said its Hi-Fi 3D format uses a “unique frame-compatible
technology for high-fidelity stereoscopic signal processing.”
