Sennheiser Parent Names CEOs

Wedemark, Germany — Daniel Sennheiser and Andreas Sennheiser, two of the co-shareholders of the headphones manufacturer, have been promoted to CEO for Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co KG.

They will also take on the title of speaker of the executive management board, previously held by Volker Bartels, who will in turn become manager of research and quality at Sennheiser.

Heinrich Esser, Sennheiser president of the professional systems division at Sennheiser, is leaving to “pursue new challenges outside the Sennheiser group,” a company statement said.

Sennheiser Electronic Corporation is the U.S. subsidiary of Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co KG.

In other management announcements, Sennheiser said Peter Callan will now manage the communications in the Sennheiser group, in addition to his regular responsibilities of managing Sennheiser consumer electronics division.

Peter Claussen will continue to manage the integrated systems division and will also manage the professional systems division.

Paul Whiting is taking responsibility for services, in addition to managing the global sales division.

Thomas Weinzierl is joining the executive management board, in charge of supply chains in the U.S., Germany and Ireland, and the engineering and the supply chain management team.

All of these people will report directly to Daniel and Andreas Sennheiser, and together they form the executive management board of Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co KG. This board will report to the supervisory board and shareholders assembly, the company said.

The new positions will take effect July 1.
