San Francisco and Milipitas, Calif. – Sega.com and Palm, announced the launch of SEGA classic games for select ARM processor-equipped Palm handhelds.
The first titles will include Sonic the Hedgehog, Shinobi, Super Columns, and Shining Force II: The Sword of Hajya. They will be sold as the PalmPak SEGA Classic Card at $29.95 and will be compatible with the Tungsten T. Mobile Digital Media (MDM) will distribute the PalmPak card beginning in May. Palm Solutions Group and private investors fund MDM. Users can also download the titles at www.palm.com/sega. Other titles are expected to become available in the future.
Palm said analyst Bear Stearns predicts the wireless games market will grow to $8.8 billion by 2006.
