Hoffman Estates,
Ill. – Sears Holdings has appointed Robert Schriesheim executive VP and chief
financial officer.

Schriesheim, formerly
chief financial officer of Hewitt Associates, a global human resources outsourcing
and consulting firm, succeeds acting chief financial officer and controller
William Phelan.

“Rob is a proven

operating performance and delivering value in complex organizations undergoing
rapid change,” said Sears president/CEO Lou D’Ambrosio, who joined the company
as chief executive in February. Other recent hires include Monica Woo, the new
chief marketing officer for Sears, and Edgar Huber, who now leads the company’s
Lands’ End apparel business.

In a statement, Schriesheim
said he plans to leverage Sears’ historical franchise and capitalize on
innovative trends. “Sears Holdings has a unique portfolio of assets, a deep
heritage and great potential. Transformations are energizing when you can
leverage powerful brands, work with a talented and committed team, and focus on
execution and delivering results,” he said.
