SeaLife Goes Deep With New DigiCam

Moorestown, N.J. — Underwater camera maker SeaLife announced a new 8-megapixel model yesterday.

The DC800 can be submerged underwater to a depth of 200 feet thanks to a removable waterproof housing. The camera sports a 4x optical zoom lens, 2.7-inch LCD, 32MB of internal memory and 16 scene modes plus five underwater shooting modes.

The camera’s sea mode can correct colors based on the shooting environment. Using the company’s accessory external flash, consumers can manually adjust the camera’s aperture and shutter speeds.

The DC800 will retail for $549.
