Sceptre Adds 40" LCD TV With SRS

City of Industry, Calif. – LCD TV and monitor vendor

Sceptre

unveiled Thursday a new
“stereo-inspired” 40-inch FullHD 1080p LCD TV, incorporating both SRS
TruSurround XT and TruVolume sound enhancement.

Model X402BV-FHD ($600 suggested retail) is now available at
Walmart, Amazon, QVC, NewEgg, Target, Sears, K-mart and Menards.

It is highlighted by an ultra-glossy black finish design with a
swivel base, CCFL back lighting, FullHD 1080p resolution, two 10-watt speakers
with 7-band equalizer, a 90,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 4 HDMI ports, 1.07
billion colors, and 1 USB port.

SRS Tru-Surround XT is a sound-enhancement system that can take
multi-channel encoded sources, including Dolby Digital, and produce a simulated
surround effect over two stereo speakers.

SRS TruVolume equalizes volume fluctuations when switching
between channels or when regular programming switches to commercials by
analyzing the signal and adjusting the volume based on how the human ear
perceives sound.

“The addition of SRS TruSurround XT and TruVolume will not only
create 3 dimensional sound, but will also eliminate background noise, increase
dialogue clarity and optimize bass for an enhanced home theater experience,”
expressed Cathy Chou, Sceptre operations VP.
