Sceptre 47-inch LED TV Hits Retail

City of Industry, Calif. – Sceptre is now shipping an MHL-compliant Roku Ready, 47-inch FullHD LED back-lit LCD HDTV and PC monitor.

Billed as “an affordable big screen unit,” the new 47-inch Sceptre model E475BV-FMDU ($699 suggested retail) offers slim-design styling and energy savings.

In addition to an MHL-compliant HDMI input that can accept an optional Roku Streaming Stick Smart TV adapter, the set includes: SRS TruSurround HD.

MHL technology allows mobile devices to directly connect to the HDTV or display using a single cable, transmitting 1080p high-definition video and surround sound audio while simultaneously charging the connected mobile device.

“Sceptre realizes that the majority of consumers does not need a 100-inch HDTV or a see-through screen, but do want reliability, performance and affordability,” said Cathy Chou, Sceptre operations VP. “Our new 47-inch LED HDTV is the perfect combination of performance and practicality with added advantages such as MHL.”

The E475BV-FMDU complies with the Energy Star V5.3/6.0 rating and is estimated to have a yearly energy operating cost of $19.50.

The set is currently available through Amazon, QVC, Sears, K-mart, Tiger Direct, Costco and NewEgg, among others.
