Sanyo Adds LCD Projector Pair

Chatsworth, Calif. – Sanyo said Tuesday it has added two LCD multimedia projectors to its “T” Series lineup for the education and business presentation markets.

Models PLC-ET30L ($6,495 suggested retail without lens) and PLC-XT21/L ($4,495 without lens), offer high brightness and SXGA resolution output. The PCL-ET30L offers a 1400-by-1050 resolution and 10-Bit digital gamma correction. Brightness is listed at 4,200 lumens.

The PLC-XT21/L is positioned as a value-priced XGA (1024-by-768) projector that is replacing the PLC-XT20.

Both projectors are said to be easy to install using Sanyo’s lens center design with a 360-degree position function.

For increased installation convenience, an Up/Down/Left/Right lens shift allows placement in challenging and unusual positions. Anther attribute of both units is quiet operation with a 35 dBA noise level.

Both are equipped with Sanyo’s PJ Network Interface for wired networking. The optional networking module (POA-PN03C) allows the monitoring of projector functions and operation from a remote location via a Web browser.

The optional module (POA-PN03C) comes with a camera and the optional PJ Master Software (POA-PJM01) allowing for control and administration of projectors via a network. Users can monitor the actual picture, check status and control projector functions via any Web browser. A warning notification can be automatically sent to the registered user’s email whenever the projector encounters warnings such as maintenance needs.

Each is adds a One-Way Flow System to control airflow through a single intake and exhaust vent. A filter warning alerts users to clean clogged filters, ensuring maximum performance. For further maintenance the top plate can be flipped open to clean and replace the Prism Block system for proper maintenance of LCD panels to reduce artifacts in the projected images.
