Milipitas, Calif. - SanDisk announced it is now shipping a 32GB MicroSDHC card.
The company said in a release that it is the first to do so.
"This is the highest-capacity card of its type, and SanDisk is pleased to be the first to ship such an advanced product," said Sanjay Mehrotra, president and COO of SanDisk.
According to the company, the card, which is a popular format for smartphones,
can store enough music to outlast 35 round-trip flights between San Francisco and New York before repeating a single song.
It will be available beginning tomorrow for a $199 suggested retail. A five-year limited warranty is included.
