Milpitas, Calif. — Fresh on the heals of its purchase of M-Systems to position it for further growth in the mobile phone market, SanDisk announced a new 2GB microSD card.
The launch was timed to coincide with the release of LG’s new Chocolate music phone through Verizon Wireless.
The 2GB microSD card is the highest capacity available to date. According to SanDisk, the card can store 1,000 digital songs downloaded from Verizon’s V CAST music service.
The card, which ships with an SD adapter, will sell through Verizon Wireless stores for a suggested $99.
