Dallas — Samsung Mobile will offer a free download of Jay-Z’s new album to 1 million owners of Samsung’s Galaxy S III, S4 and Note II mobile devices via a customized app available June 24.
On July 4 at 12:01 a.m. ET, the “Magna Carta Holy Grail” album in the app will be unlocked for playback three days before the album’s official sale date, Samsung said.
The app will be available at MangnaCartaHolyGrail.com. A three-minute ad announcing the promotion aired during the NBA Finals last night and can be viewed at Smsng.us/McHgPr1.
The app will include information on the making of the album.
