New York – Samsung today reported its Galaxy Player 3.6 has
hit stores.
The 3.6-inch, Wi-Fi-only device carries a $149 price tag and
is shipping with the Android 2.3 operating system.
The player, which is intended to be a portable media-consumption
device that will compete with Apple iPod Touch-class products, is powered by a Cortex
A8 1GHz processor. It has 8GB of internal memory, a MicroSD slot, and front and
rear cameras. The 3.6 features Samsung’s SmartView and AllShare software.
