Ridgefield Park, N.J. – Samsung Electronics America has
introduced two new lines of computer monitors, each equipped with an HDTV
tuner.
The 90 and 30 series multi-function monitors are intended for use
as small TVs or PC monitors.
The 90 Series, shipping in September with a $419 suggested price,
features a 24-inch screen with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a 5 millisecond
response time, 5 million to 1 contrast ratio, 5-watt Dolby Digital Plus sound
speakers and an HDMI port.
The three SKU 30 Series has the same resolution and response time
with 70,000 to one contrast ratio and a 3-watt speaker system with screen sizes
of 21.5-, 23-, and 24-inch. Prices range from $269 to $329, the company said.
