Seoul, South Korea — Samsung announced yesterday that it had pushed the maximum capacity of the diminutive microSD card to 8GB.
The card, which is principally used in mobile phones, will be available to manufacturers on an OEM basis next year.
According to Samsung, the card will offer read speeds of 16MBps and write speeds of 6MBps.
