Ridgefield Park, N.J. – Samsung will ship a new flash-memory-based camcorders to dealers in August.
The SC-MX20 replaces the MX10 and features a recording mode to optimize video for uploading to YouTube or multimedia devices.
The MX20 records 720 by 480 video to SDHC cards using H.264 compression.
The camcorder features a 34x optical zoom lens, 3D Noise reduction, image stabilization, face detection (up to five faces) and a 680K CCD sensor.
Additional features include a 2.7-inch LCD, the company’s iCheck mode for monitoring remaining battery life, and iScene mode for choosing up to ten pre-set scene modes.
The camcorder will be sold in black, red, white and blue for $279.
