Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Custom electronics distributor AVAD America has reached a deal to carry home entertainment products, the distributor announced.

The distributor will begin carrying Samsung flat-panel (LCD and plasma), DLP rear projection and fully integrated flat-screen direct view CRT televisions beginning this month. AVAD said the arrangement “enhances distribution of Samsung’s products within the custom installation market, and strengthens AVAD’s continuing expansion efforts.”

In addition to distributing Samsung produces, AVAD will act “as a comprehensive supply chain partner, creating a nationally consistent marketing plan that focuses efforts locally to build brand presence among electronic system contractors.”

AVAD will also offer Samsung dealers product training, technical support and rapid access to inventory.

“We’re very excited to have a trusted name like Samsung behind our efforts to provide Electronic Systems Contractors nationwide with real solutions to expanding the automated home industry,” said Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD. “Clearly, manufacturers realize the value-added benefits AVAD provides. This partnership adds to Samsung’s leading brand position and growth efforts through the definitive market penetration and comprehensive dealer services that are AVAD’s signature.”
