New York — After raising more than $220,000 through crowdfunding on Kickstarter, Rocki announced it has begun to ship the Rocki Play Wi-Fi-dongle.
The device is designed to turn any speaker with an audio input into a wireless speaker system, and the free accompanying app enables users to access their saved music or stream from Internet radio sites like Pandora and Spotify.
The app is currently only available for Android devices, although the company said versions for iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Firefox and Ubuntu devices are in the works.
The Rocki Play is available for $49, while a version with additional HDMI and TOSLink connections, known as the Rocki Play+, is $89. Six colors are available.
