Mahwah, N. J. — Alex Rivera, formerly a Toshiba consumer products division VP, has been named Sharp Electronics Marketing Company (SEMCA) of America regional account sales VP.
Rivera will be responsible for U.S. regional account sales of Sharp’s home entertainment products in the display, audio and video categories. He reports to Michael Troetti, SEMCA president.
Rivera has a long history in the consumer electronics industry. Prior to joining Toshiba, Rivera spent eight years at Samsung Electronics as a sales director, and before that as a regional manager at Sony.
“Alex’s strong background in consumer electronics sales and deep relationships with buying groups will be huge assets to Sharp,” said Troetti. “We look forward to his creative thoughts and insights, which we are confident will result in a positive impact on our bottom line.”
