RCA Ships Portable TV Lineup

Santa Fe Springs, Calif. – Digital Stream, the licensee of the RCA
brand for portable TV devices, said Monday that has started shipping a new line
of RCA portable TVs including some that include tuners for mobile digital TV
reception.

The line includes a mix of models offering either rechargeable
built-in batteries or AA batteries, and models that receive standard digital TV
broadcasts or both standard DTV and new mobile DTV signals for reception in
motion.

Models equipped with the mobile DTV tuners will enable receiving
signals even when the set is moving at speeds surpassing 60 miles per hour, as
long as the transmission is within range.

All of the new sets are designed to receive local news
broadcasts, emergency information, and favorite broadcasts from TV and radio
stations, the company said.

“Our new Portable TVs allow viewers to experience a variety of
local programming including news and weather broadcasts at any time from local
TV stations,” stated Chris Lee, Digital Stream sales and marketing VP. “We
encourage people everywhere to be prepared for emergencies by having a
battery-operated TV at the ready, and we’re offering a variety of models that
should be attractive for any budget.”

Highlights of the new line include the following:

in to a wall outlet or an auto power source.

The unit also features a real time signal strength indicator,
closed captioning capability, easel back stand, English/Spanish display and 360
degree adjustable antenna.

The company said that more than 70 local broadcast stations
throughout the country are now transmitting both standard digital and mobile
