— Projectiondesign’s Avielo home-theater projector unit will use CEDIA Expo to demonstrate several new models, including its first 3D DLP projector.

The FullHD Optix 3D projector is said to use proprietary image processing to display 3D images from Blu-ray Disc players and sources supporting 3D stereo over HDMI 1.4 outputs.

Anders Løkke, international marketing/ communications manager, said, the Avielo Optix 3D DLP projector allows “convincing 3D images to be created in a home-theater environment, without compromising image quality, brightness, contrast, or consistency of color rendition.”

The projector is said to use specially designed high-resolution lenses with aspherical glass elements and enhanced low-dispersion glass for a greater 3D effect.

The projector supports 3D through both HDMI and DVI, using full bandwidth processing and imaging.
