Secaucus, N.J. – Rance Poehler was named president of
Panasonic Solutions Company today.

Panasonic Solutions Company is focused
on B to B, it said, and will incorporate the operations of Panasonic Computer
Solutions Company, Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company and
Panasonic Professional Display Company.

It formally launched operations today,
April 1.

“At Panasonic we have always been
focused on providing the most reliable technology platforms to support our
customers’ missions. With this consolidation, Panasonic is streamlining its
relationships with customers and offering them a broad portfolio approach,” said
Joseph M. Taylor, chairman and CEO of Panasonic Corporation of North America, in
a statement.  “We believe this change will make Panasonic an easier company with
which to do business and enhance our ability to deliver superior products,
services and support to commercial and government customers.”

“Panasonic is a technology leader and
continues to spend over $3 billion in R&D each year,” said Poehler. “We will
utilize the technology and innovation from our multiple engineering and research
centers to create new solutions, built with the input of our customers and
ecosystem of channel partners, to substantially grow our business.”

The company said it will adopt a
two-tier channel approach to its sales: “providing partners significant
opportunities to expand their portfolio of reliable Panasonic products and
create a host of new solutions for enterprise and government
organizations.”

Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company, of which James Doyle

was recently named

president.
