Parsippany, N.J. – Flash memory vendor PNY will ship a security-focused USB drive to dealers this month.
The drive uses IronKey’s “military grade” hardware-encryption and tamper-resistant metal exterior, the company said. The drive will feature IronKey branding as well.
The 4GB drive will feature Internet authentication software to protect online accounts and passwords; private Web surfing using Firefox, data back-up software and “government-level” AES encryption.
The IronKey will feature a 20MBps write and a 30MBps read speed and will be waterproof. It will retail for $149.
