Cerritos, Calif. – Plustek Technology will add a trio of new film scanners in its OpticFilm line in April
The new models feature a four-scan multi-sampling and multi-exposure engine, 7200 by 7200 dpi scanning, with 48-bit color. The scanners can produce an 800 MB or larger image file, roughly equivalent to a 75-megapixel image, the company said.
The new models include the entry-level OpticFilm 7300 for $289. The 7500i SE ($399) and 7500i AI ($589) both add SilverFast’s Infrared Smart Removal of Defects (iSRD) technology, for removing defects from scanned images.
The 7500i AI also includes 35mm IT8 calibration for color management needs.
