Pioneer Adds DJ Headphones

Long Beach, Calif. – Pioneer
Electronics introduced a series of headphones designed specifically for the DJ
market.

The HDJ-500 series are
constructed of magnesium allow for durability and a light weight. They come
with 40mm drivers, urethane pads, and a rotating arm structure that lets users
rotate the right earpiece forward and back by 60 degrees.

Frequency range is
listed at 5Hz to 28,000Hz, with impedance at 45 ohms. Max input is 2,000mW and
output sound level is 105d, Pioneer said. Two interchangeable cords are
included — a traditional 1.2-meter coiled cord and a 1-meter straight cord.   

The headphones come in
three colors for a $125 suggested retail: red, black and white.

The black HDJ-500-K and
the red HDJ-500-R will be available in November, while the white HDJ-500-W will
be available in January 2011.
