Petra Sets Car Audio Expo For May 1

Edmond, Okla. – Petra
Industries will hold its 9th Annual Car Audio Expo on May 1 at its headquarters,
here.

The Expo will give 12-volt dealers the opportunity to meet
representatives from Clarion, Garmin, Pioneer, Power Acoustik, RE Audio,
Scosche, SiriusXM and Whistler, which will demonstrate their 2011 product lines
and answer questions from the distributor’s dealers.

This will be the third straight year that Petra will offer
its dealers the same-day chance to take advantage of show specials directly
from the show floor. Exhibiting manufacturers will offer special pricing, buy
one/get one promotions and consumer rebates.

Dealers will also experience the Installer Olympics, with
the popular woofer toss and creeper race, as well as manufacturer giveaways and
door prizes worth thousands of dollars, Petra said.

Giveaways include a fourth-generation 8GB Apple iPod Touch,
a 5-megapixel Picsio pocket digital video camera and a 3-megapixel digital video
camera with 120GB hard drive from JVC, a 37-inch 1080p E200-series LCD HDTV and
6.9-inch portable DVD player from Toshiba, and a  Coby 7-inch Kyros touchscreen tablet.

 Petra’s Car Audio
Expo is free to attend, and dealers that aren’t signed up can register online
at

www.petra.com/carexpo

. A live
video broadcast of the Expo will be streamed online to all dealers that are
unable to attend at

www.petra.com/carexpo2011

.
Petra team members will be highlighting specific products and brands at the
show as well as conducting live interviews with the attending manufacturers.
The video feed will start at 11:30 a.m. CDT on Sunday, May 1.

 “We really love
giving our dealers an opportunity to interact with our manufacturers,” said
Tate Morgan, executive VP. “Our manufacturer partners get to showcase their new
products and technology to the dealers who promote, sell and install their
products on a daily basis. The face-to-face interaction is priceless because
our dealers can take what they learn back to their shops and provide better knowledge
and offerings to their customers.”
