Monday the Optio RZ18 digital compact point-and-shoot camera featuring an 18x
optical super-telephoto zoom lens.
The camera, which will ship in October at a $300 suggested
retail, features a slim, lightweight body, 16-megapixel sensor, 18x optical
zoom lens (25mm-450mm 35mm equivalent focal range), a 3-inch 460,000-dot LCD,
and a range of automatic shooting modes, including Auto Picture and various
scene modes.
Other features are advanced nine-point autofocus with a 4cm super
macro mode, face detection with a dedicated pet-recognition feature, creative
special effects filters, shake reduction, image stabilization options with
sensor-shift SR, and HD 720p video recording.
The RZ18 is available in a choice of colors, including red, white
and black.
