PCD Launches Pantech Messaging Phone

New Orleans – Personal
Communications Devices (PCD) unveiled the Pantech Verse TXT8045 messaging phone
at CTIA Wireless 2012.

The 2G phone
with slide-down QWERTY keyboard will be available on the U.S. Cellular network
beginning May 11 at $29.99 after $50 mail-in rebate.

PCD is also
showcasing other products that it recently shipped, including the Virgin Mobile
Venture Android smartphone, the Verizon Wireless HomeFusion Broadband LTE wireless-broadband
system for homes and Netgear’s 4G Mobile Broadband router.

The Pantech
Verse features vertical slider QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch QVGA display,
2-megapixel camera/camcorder, music player, external speaker, stereo Bluetooth,
MicroSD slot supporting 32GB cards, and no Wi-Fi. Talk time is up to 4.8 hours,
and standby time is 15 days.
