PCD Hires Donna Morrison Marketing VP

Hauppauge, N.Y. – Personal Communications Devices (PCD) has tapped Donna Morrison as marketing VP responsible for developing and executing all go-to-market strategies.

Katie Wasserman, hired last year, remains CMO.

Morrison is a 20-year wireless-industry veteran who most recently served as senior manager of product portfolio management and marketing at U.S. Cellular.

Before that, she was regional VP for Cingular Wireless (AT&T Wireless) and sales and marketing VP for Cellular One. Her background includes strategic planning, brand management, product and customer lifecycle management, multi-media advertising, public relations, promotions, training and communications, PCD said.

The appointment is the latest in a series of personnel moves that began soon after George Appling was hired last year as president/CEO following the departure of Philip Christopher, who was instrumental in launching the company’s predecessor, Audiovox Communications, in 1984.

PCD brings other-brand cellular handsets to market, providing carriers and handset manufacturers with such product lifecycle-management services as planning and development, inventory, technical testing, quality control, forward and reverse logistics, sell-in and sell-through services, and marketing and warranty support for wireless devices.
