Partsearch Signs R.C. Willey

New York — R.C. Willey has become the 16th company to tap into Partsearch Technologies’ outsourced parts management program (OPM), which allows customers to find replaceable parts and accessories for brown and white goods through a co-branded Web site and toll-free phone number.

“R.C. Willey chose Partsearch’s RetailPoint solution to meet all of our customer’s parts needs through one provider,” said John Bennion, customer service director for the Salt Lake City-based CE, majap and furniture chain. “We have a strong history of customer service and believe that the RetailPoint solution, with its ability to provide parts across brand and category, will allow us to serve our customers in an area that is otherwise devoid of good solutions.”

The co-branded R.C. Willey-Partsearch Web site and toll-free customer service number allows Willey’s customers to accessorize their products with a full assortment of dedicated items without placing any additional inventory burden on the retailer. The program also allows R.C. Willey to quickly and efficiently provide its stores with replacement parts for in-store display items and open-box returns.

Partsearch, based here and headed by CEO Glenn Laumeister, maintains a database of 7.2 million parts and accessories for computers, CE products and appliances. The company manages every aspect of the parts supply chain — from sourcing to fulfillment — for retailers, manufacturers and service organizations.
