Paris — Parrot said it would ship a digital frame with its own cellphone number through a European mobile carrier at the end of 2007.
The DF7700’s built-in SIM card lets it accept digital photos via MMS from mobile phones. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port and an SD memory card slot.
The frame will be available through Bouygues Telecom, a French mobile carrier for 189 euro ($269).
The 7-inch frame features a 720 by 480 screen resolution, 512MB of internal memory, automatic image rotation and a built-in light sensor that adjusts the LCD’s brightness as room lighting changes.
The U.S. market will receive the DPF7220, which offers the same features as the DP7700 minus the SIM card. It is due in the first quarter of 2008, according to Parrot marketing VP Mike Hedge.
