Secaucus, N.J. – Now within 30 days of retail launch,
formally released pricing
Tuesday on four Lumix point-and-shoot cameras including the DMC-ZS10, DMC-ZS8,
DMC-TS3 and DMC-FX78.
The four Lumix models
will be available in late-March 2011. All feature Leica lenses, HD video
recording capabilities and Panasonic’s iA point-and-shoot technology.
The ZS10 ($400 suggested retail), TS3 ($400) and FX78 ($350) also
have a 3D photo mode that takes 20 consecutive photos and overlays the two
best images to provide an image that can then be played on new classes of 3DTVs,
including all Panasonic Viera 3D HDTVs.
The format of the 3D image is compatible with MPO, and can also
be played back on other MPO-compatible equipment such as a televisions, digital
photo frames and printers.
The DMC-ZS8 ($300) features a 24mm ultra-wide angle, 16x optical
zoom Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and includes a 3-inch LCD and a manual exposure
mode. It will ship in both black and silver body colors.
The Lumix ZS10 features a 24mm 16x optical zoom Leica DC Vario-Elmar
lens, full-HD 1920-by-1080 video recording, 3-inch, 460,000-dot Smart Touch Intelligent
LCD with Touch Zoom, Touch Auto Focus (AF), Touch Shutter and Touch Playback
functions. It also adds GPS geo-tagging and will be available in a choice of black,
red, blue, silver and brown.
The DMC-TS3 features 1,920 by 1,080 FullHD video recording,
built-in GPS geo-tagging, and a new “go-anywhere” design that is waterproof to 40
feet, shock-proof from a 6.6-foot drop, freeze-proof to 14 degrees, and
dustproof. It will ship in a choice of red,
orange, silver and blue models.
The FX78 features Smart Touch operation, 3.5-inch LCD with a 16:9
aspect ratio, intuitive touch operation, Touch AF, Touch Zoom, Touch Shutter
and Touch Playback. It includes a 24mm 5x optical zoom with F2.5 aperture. It
will be available in black, gold and white.
