Secaucus, N.J. – Panasonic has begun shipping five new models of headphones.
The new Iconics series features two styles of over-the-ear cups, the RP-HXD5C and the RP-HXD3W.
The 5C is finished two ways, in black with red trim and a chrome finish on the ear cup, and white, which gives the headphones the look of a glass finish on the ear cup, with a freen accent. Panasonic said the accent colors are intended to mimic the look of illumination.
The 5C boasts 40mm drivers delivering a frequency response range of 8Hz to 26kHz, as well as a built-in remote and microphone for smartphone calling and volume adjustments. They retail for $99.99.
Also in the Iconics series, the 3W combines a chrome-like ear-cup design with a matte, silicone surface frame for extended-wear comfort. The 30mm driver delivers frequencies of 10Hz to 25kHz and a microphone and talk on/off switch are included, along with an extra adaptor for Nokia and other selected phone models. Color options include red, purple, gray, taupe and black. They retail for $69.99.
Panasonic has also added new active noise-cancelling ear buds, the RP-HC56. They are said to reduce outside noise by 92 percent at 200Hz.
The compact pen-type design clips to clothing and houses a noise cancelling on-off toggle, volume control and room for one AAA alkaline battery which provides up to 40 hours of operation time. A cord holder attachment provides tangle-free cord storage and carrying pouch is included.
They retail for $99.99.
Panasonic’s RP-HJE190 in-ear headphones feature a Neodymium magnet and an extended long sound support port for deeper bass in an ErgoFit design. Color choices include white, black, blue, green, purple and red. The suggested retail is $24.99.
At the entry level, the RP-HV41 eardrop-shaped ear buds offer a comfort-fit design made with Elastomer materials and a rubber clip which attaches to user’s clothing for tangle-free use. A Neodymium magnet enhances sound. Color combinations include black/grey, white/grey, blue/green, fuchsia/pink, purple/teal, pink/orange, green/yellow and orange/blue. They retail for $9.99.
All five designs are available immediately.
