Panasonic Combines Comm, Document Management Groups

Secaucus, N.J. — Panasonic Corporation of North America announced it is combining its communications solutions and document management groups.

The new organization, called the Panasonic Communications Company of North America, is designed to bring together product lines with leadership positions in business telephony, document management and interactive collaboration tools, said the company in a statement. It will focus on enhancing Panasonic’s position as a provider of communication and productivity solutions for SO/HO and other businesses.

The Panasonic Communications Company of North America will be led by Bill Taylor, president, and Nick Miyake will lead the company’s sales effort as executive VP.

“The new company enables Panasonic to bring together key strengths that we possess in communications systems with a wide range of networkable document management solutions,” said Taylor in the statement. “Bringing these strengths together positions Panasonic Communications Company of North America for sustained growth based on the delivery of reliable, affordable and flexible solutions for a wide range of consumer and commercial applications. I’m excited about the top talent we have brought together to better serve our customers and channel partners,” Taylor added.
