Tampa Bay, Fla. – Pacific Accessories Corp. (PAC) continues to expand its selection of RadioPro OEM-integration kits.
The kits combine several SKUs into one to integrate aftermarket car stereos into a vehicle’s data bus without losing factory safety, convenience and communications functions, including OnStar and steering-wheel audio controls, PAC said.
The latest kit is the $229-suggested RP5-GM32, designed for 29-Bit GM data bus systems with 44-pin harnesses in select 2012 and 2013 GM vehicles.
Shipments follow the shipment of the $229 RadioPro RP5-GM31 OEM-integration kit. It’s designed for aftermarket head-unit installs in select 2006 to 2013 GM vehicles, excluding full-sized SUVs that also use the 29-bit GM data bus system.
With the introduction of its RadioPro kits, PAC began combining its most popular steering-wheel-control interfaces and radio replacement modules into a single SKU.
The kits are compatible with OEM amplified and non-amplified audio systems and retain all functions of OnStar systems, factory Bose sound systems, factory XM Radio, lane departure warning systems, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth and factory-installed rear-seat video systems, the company said. The kits also retain steering-wheel controls, back-up sensors and warning chimes, and they’re compatible with factory amplified and non-amplified audio systems.
Unlike other one-box solutions, the PAC kit is preprogrammed and ready to use out of the box, said PAC owner AAMP of America. Competing products, the company said, must be connected to an online web updating interface before installation.
PAC is one of multiple AAMP of America brands, which include Stinger, iSimple, Best Kits & Harnesses, American International, Select Products, Sound Quest and Phoenix Gold.
