Woodstock, Ill. — Other World Computing will ship its highest-capacity portable hard drive this month.
The 500GB Mercury On-the-Go bus-powered drive features 5400 rpm, FireWire 800/400 and USB 2.0 connections.
The drive is sold with Prosoft DataBackup III for Macs and NovaStor’s NovaBackup for Windows PCs. For Mac OSX Leopard users, the drive is “time machine” ready, allowing users to recover lost files by date.
The drive is retailing for $359.
