Oregon Scientific Names New President

Tualatin, Ore. – Oregon Scientific today announced the appointment of a new president, former Cisco executive Paul S. Zimmerman.

Zimmerman succeeds Jim Boyle, who recently resigned from the company.

According to a company statement, the new president is tasked with introducing strategic management practices and implementing new business relationships to increase product business avenues and accelerate the growth and recognition of the Oregon Scientific brand in North America.

‘I’m looking forward to continuing to guide Oregon Scientific’s ability to meet the demands of today’s consumer and remain ahead of the consumer electronics industry trend of converging technologies,’ Zimmerman said.

The company’s new president has served in senior sales, marketing and general management positions at Cisco Systems, Samsung, and Hewlett-Packard. Prior to joining OSI, Zimmerman was responsible for the wireless business of Cisco Systems for the Asia-Pacific region.
