Upper Saddle River, N.J. – Onkyo will offer
more Internet radio options for its networked A/V receivers, adding Aupeo!
Personal Radio and expanding Last.fm service to more models.
Aupeo! and Last.fm will be
incorporated on all new 2011 Onkyo networked receivers. A firmware upgrade for
current owners of 2011 Onkyo networked receivers is available as of today.
Last.fm is currently available on
Onkyo receivers starting with the TX-NR709.
Last month, Onkyo announced that the
Internet music-streaming service
became available through select receivers.
Aupeo! offers 120 music channels and
user-selected stations that can be customized. Users can also search for a
specific artist on Artist Radio, or use the Mood Selector to match the music
style to their mood.
Last.fm is a music recommendation
service that helps listeners discover new music by analyzing the songs that
they play most often, which songs they like the most, how much they’ve played
an artist, and which friends have similar tastes.
