Olevia Adds 1080p LCD TV Pair

Tempe, Ariz. — Syntax-Brillian expanded its 1080p Olevia LCD TV assortment with two new models slated for distribution through Costco and other existing Olevia retailers.

Models include the 65-inch 265TFHD LCD HDTV and 47-inch 247TFHD. Both feature updated industrial designs and will ship in time for the holiday selling season, the company said.

Syntax-Brillian said the 65-inch Olevia 265TFHD HDTV is currently available at Costco and will soon be added to Target stores. It was the first single product introduced in the Olevia in Costco, the company said.

The Olevia 265TFHD a high-quality LCD panel provided exclusively to Syntax-Brillian by Sharp — a strategic supplier to Syntax-Brillian of 37-inch, 52-inch and 65-inch LCD HDTV panels.

“With our new state-of-the-art Olevia 65-inch HDTV we are delivering premium performance to the mainstream consumer,” stated James Li, Syntax-Brillian president. “We are proud to expand our line of full-HD Olevia HDTVs, and we are especially pleased to introduce this single product, our 65-inch LCD HDTV, to Costco for the holiday shopper, thereby offering the Olevia brand to a consumer who may not yet have had the chance to purchase Olevia products.”

The 265TFHD, which carries a $6,999 suggested retail, features Silicon Optix Realta Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) video processing, an aluminum thin-bezel design with removable speakers, clear QAM tuning, firmware upgradeability via USB, component video and dual HDMI inputs, 1080p resolution and Big Picture Technology to eliminate over-scan.

The 47-inch Olevia 247TFHD is currently available at national retailers, including Target and BJ’s, and is expected to be available in Circuit City stores in November.

The new Olevia 247TFHD HDTV, which carries a $1,999 suggested retail, features an MTK MDDI video processor, updated industrial thin-bezel design, clear QAM tuning, firmware upgradeability via USB, component video and dual HDMI inputs, 1080p resolution and Big Picture Technology.
