Ogle Jumps To Motorola From Samsung

Schaumburg, Ill. – Bill Ogle has left Samsung
Telecommunications America as chief marketing officer to fill the same position
at Motorola‘s mobile devices business.

Ogle will lead the marketing and branding efforts for wireless
handsets and will be responsible for “all aspects of the marketing,
advertising, interactive marketing and brand strategy, management and
execution,” the company said. He reports to Sanjay Jha, Motorola’s co-chief
executive officer and CEO of Mobile
Devices.

Before joining Samsung Telecom as CMO,
Ogle was Pizza Hut’s CMO, and before that, he held brand management
positions at Procter & Gamble and Sara Lee Corporation.

In his 12 years at Pizza Hut, Ogle helped reposition the brand
and boost sales and share, Motorola said. During his tenure at Samsung, Ogle
“developed an extensive knowledge of the mobile devices industry,” Motorola
added.

Said Jha,” His
proven record of implementing successful sales and marketing campaigns with
global brands such as Samsung and Pizza Hut will be a real asset for Motorola.
This is a pivotal time for Motorola’s Mobile Devices business, and I look
forward to working with Bill as we prepare to launch an enhanced portfolio of
exciting new products in the later half of 2009 and beyond.”
