Boca Raton, Fla. – Office
Depot has dismissed contract sales senior VP David Grove 14 months after heralding
his arrival in an earnings call.
Grove’s employment was “terminated
for reasons that are unrelated to company operations,” the South Florida Business
Journal reported, and comes as the No. 2 office supply chain remains under
scrutiny for contracts with government agencies and nonprofits.
Office Depot disclosed last
month in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing in that it is the target
of a U.S. Department of Justice investigation into pricing practices for state,
local and non-profit agencies.
